Building a Quality of Life
Full gut remodel of 19th century Victorian schoolhouse. The house was once a girl’s boarding school before becoming a private residence. Substantial structural repair enabled a modern interior design without compromising the exterior charm and historic character. A high efficiency heating and cooling system, rehabbed windows, and spray foam insulation helped this home qualify as an Energy Star home. The interior now boasts a custom kitchen, floating built-in bookcases, built-in desk and workstation, flush doors with concealed pivot hinges and a custom stair and handrail. Walnut floors with a natural finish are throughout the home.
